Delhi with support from the Astral Limited team conducted a massive raid in Nanglai Vill, Kadipur, Bawana, Delhi and busted a warehouse involved in selling counterfeit Astral pipes. In the raid, huge stock of duplicate CPVC pipes of many brands including 'Astral pipes' brand was found. The alleged warehouse was a complete infrastructure set-up. Delhi police officials prepared the seizure report of all duplicate pipes found, thereafter entire material and machineries worth lakhs of rupees are seized and entire warehouse has been sealed by police. During the raid, owner of the warehouse Mr. Devender Singh Nagpal was arrested. Delhi Police has registered a FIR under section of 103 and 104 of Trademarks Act, 1999 for further investigation and also looking out for the owner of factory. The representative of Astral Pipes who was present at the time of raid has stated that their Company is committed to take strict action on all counterfeit manufacturers / dealers, thereby more and more such kind of actions will be taken by the Company in future in the best interest of their distributors, dealers and consumers. Astral Pipes is a well-known name in piping category and its brand is known for high-quality plumbing, fitting and faucets & sanitaryware products and solutions. The raid was conducted with the joint officials from Astral limited and officials from the Protect IP solutions. Shares of Astral Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 2331.40 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 2284.55. The total number of shares traded during the day was 23717 in over 3530 trades. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 2354.95 and intraday low of 2287.90. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 54971932.00.
